I strive to live a cruelty-free life -- off the track, at least. I’m an artist, hippie, runner, liberal, and perhaps most importantly, a Hawkeye fan. I used to be very overweight (50+ lbs heavier) and unfit until I developed an obsession with exercise and nutrition. Now I love my body and what it’s capable of doing. D3 was a team I wanted to be a part of - these ladies are strong, smart and fearless. Also, derby was so far out of my comfort zone. It’s important to take risks like that. Life is short.
