I was born in Ames, but moved to Des Moines when I was a baby. I am a coach as well as a jammer/blocker for our men's derby team, YOUR MOM. I skate under the derby name Tinkerbell.

I was a competitive speed and artistic skater pretty much my whole life. I’m a many time National Champion and a 14-time World Champion. I travelled the world racing and teaching, which is how I met my wife Romina aka Stella Italiana. She was on the Italian national team. We run 1 of 4 family roller skating rinks in Des Moines. We have a 3 year old daughter named Lorenza. She started skating at 10 months old. I long retired the spandex and now traded it in for stinky pads. When not working , you will catch me doing something to do with skating. Skating is what I know, and I will continue as long as my aging body lets me.
